Maddie. Two weeks from her 11th bday. 5th grade in Seattle. She's funny, strong, smart, kind, athletic & witty. She says, "totes magots" and "whatintheheckintheworld!?" She still loves to cuddle and talks NON STOP. She's "mature beyond her years," according to her teacher and "admired by her peers." She's reading at a 7th grade level and doing 6th grade math. She's concerned about homelessness & racism, and goes out of her way to demonstrate kindness to the marginalized. Maddie loves to wear athletic leisure wear and Converse. She (half) jokingly describes her blonde hair as a "luxurious & majestic blonde waterfall," but almost always wears it in a ponytail or braid. She's only a few inches shorter than me, and her feet are already bigger than mine. When I'm stressed, she silently cleans and organizes the kitchen knowing how much this helps me. I couldn't be more proud of my first baby who is turning into a strong woman. #girls
