Color within the lines

Coloring within the lines is totally overrated in my book, but Brooke's teachers were impressed with her skilz. The teachers say that Brooke gets very focused and annoyed when her friends try to distract her from coloring with silly things like playing games or running around like crazy little people. Sometimes, she even asks to sit by a table alone, so she can concentrate. Zak and I furrowed our brows with confusion and asked, "Are you talking about Brooke V? MY Brooke?"

So at four and a half years old, it's official, Brooke can finally color better than I can. Madison has always been a perfectionist when it comes to her pictures (and is likely an influence on the color distinction style), but now Brooke is showing signs that she's no slouch.

Brooke, I love the way you color, you choose colors that go together, a real balance of the color wheel.
